WHAT IS ACNE?
Acne is a common skin disorder that causes inflamed sebaceous glands in the skin. The inflammation appears as different types of breakouts such as blackheads, pustules and cysts. It occurs when the glands starts to produce more sebum (oil) than the pores are capable to bring up to the skin surface. The pores become clogged with oil, dead skin cells and bacteria. The most common sites of acne are the face, back, chest and shoulders since these are the parts of the body where the most and largest sebaceous follicles are located. |
