Serum AHA is formulated with natural lactic acid to stimulate cell renewal and help restore a beautifully, radiant complexion. As we age, the skin’s cell renewal process slows down. This leads to a buildup of dull dead surface cells and rough, dry skin texture. Natural lactic acid from bilberry, sugar maple, lemon, sugar cane and orange is gently exfoliating and stimulates cell renewal. The result is smooth and revitalized skin.

Directions

Use as a rejuvenating night treatment for a minimum of 8 weeks, 2-3 times weekly on sensitive skin and every night on normal skin. Apply to cleansed face, neck and décolletage. Wait a minimum of 3 minutes for the serum to fully penetrate, follow with moisturizer.

Efficacy data

At a 10% dilution, the natural AHAs (used in Cicamed serum AHA) produced a 34% increase in cell renewal, compared to untreated control site, as seen in figure 1. Accordingly, there was a 143% increase in the numbers of squames (dead skin cells from the outermost layer of stratified squamous epithelium) generated.
